Glasgow Cathedral, Cathedral Square, Glasgow.  
One of Scotland's most magnificent medieval buildings, the Cathedral is the only building of its kind on the Scottish mainland to survive the Reformation of 1560 intact.

Necropolis, Castle Street, Cathedral Square, Glasgow.

Glasgow’s own Père Lachaise, adjacent to Glasgow Cathedral, this spectacular cemetery is renowned for its beautifully designed tombs and excellent views over the city.

Tenement House, 145 Buccleuch Street, Glasgow.

Gallery of Modern Art, Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow. 
Located in the former 18th century home of one of the city’s Tobacco Lords, GoMA houses four floors of contemporary paintings, sculpture and installations from around the world.

The Lighthouse, Scotland's Centre for Architecture, Design & the City, 11 Mitchell Lane, Glasgow.
The former Glasgow Herald building is now home to Scotland's award winning centre for architecture, design and the city.  The Mackintosh tower with its spiral staircase provides magnificent rooftop views.

The Willow Tea Rooms, 217 Sauchiehall Street Glasgow.

City Chambers, George Square.

Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, 2 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.

University of Glasgow, University Avenue, Glasgow.
Founded in 1451, the university boasts a long history of achievements ranging from economist Adam Smith to scientist Lord Kelvin. Panoramic views of the city from the top of the university's neo-gothic tower, quadrangles and cloister.

The Mackintosh House (Hunterian Art Gallery, University of Glasgow). 
Permanent reconstruction of the three-storey Glasgow home of architect, artist and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh, one of the founders of the art nouveau movement.

The Tall Ship, Glasgow Harbour, 100 Stobcross Road, Glasgow. 
Restored to her former glory, the S.V Glenlee  (1896) is one of only five Clydebuilt sailing ships still afloat in the world.  With exhibitions, events and children’s activities.

Scottish Football Museum, Hampden Park, Glasgow

Glasgow Science Centre, 50 Pacific Quay, Glasgow.

House for An Art Lover, Bellahouston Park, 10 Dumbreck Road, Glasgow.
Designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1901, House for an Art Lover was finally completed in 1996 using Mackintosh's original drawings.  The House contains a permanent exhibition of decorative furnished rooms, realised by contemporary artists.

Art nouveau building by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, now a Museum of Education.  Contains reconstructions of Victorian, Edwardian, World War II and 1960s classrooms.   School children regularly get to dress up in Victorian/Edwardian school uniform and experience a living history lesson.

Templeton Carpet Factory, Glasgow Green
Based on the Doge’s Palace in Venice, this multi-coloured building is visually stunning.
 
People’s Palace, Glasgow Green. 
Built in 1898 for the people of Glasgow, the museum tells the story of Glasgow from 1750 to the present day.   Attached to the People's Palace is the elegant Victorian glasshouse, the Winter Gardens.

New Lanark World Heritage Site, New Lanark Mills, Lanark.
The World Heritage Site of New Lanark is a 200-year-old conservation village.  Founded in the 1780s to harness the power of the River Clyde, it became internationally known as the site of Robert Owen’s pioneering social reforms and is once again a living vibrant community.  The award wining visitor centre illustrates what life was like in the 1800s.  Contact: Tracey Cameron - Tel: 01555 661345.
 
Museum of Scottish Country Life, Kittochside, East Kilbride.
