As the largest retail centre in the UK outside London’s West End, Glasgow boasts some seriously hip shopping – all laid out on a compact, walker-friendly grid that makes you think ‘Manhattan with a Scottish accent’.

Throw in the city’s internationally renowned reputation for music, art and design, its fabulous restaurants, style hotels and trendy watering holes and you have the perfect destination for a Festive Shopping Break.

Glasgow architect, artist & designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh spent four years in the small town of Port Vendres in Southern France near the Spanish border. 
 
To commemorate the town’s links with the famous Glaswegian, the local vineyard has now produced three Mackintosh vintages: red for Charles, white for his wife Margaret and rosé symbolising their love for each other!
