Brit Pack Dominate Stage at MOBO Awards
JERMAINE JACKSON AND SHAHEEN JAFARGHOLI RE-UNITE ON STAGE TO CELEBRATE THE LIFE OF MICHAEL JACKSON ARTISTS PERFORMING INCLUDE CHIPMUNK, JLS, DIVERSITY, TINCHY STRYDER, N-DUBZ, FLAWLESS, IRONIK AND BASHY The cream of British urban talent will be taking the Glasgow, and the world, stage by storm as they perform a string of chart-topping hits at the prestigious 14th Annual MOBO Awards at the SECC Arena on the 30th September, hosted by Reggie Yates. This year’s Awards show will pay tribute to one of the world’s greatest entertainers, Michael Jackson, with performances from the legendary Jermaine Jackson, Britain’s Got Talent winners, dance troupe Diversity and finalist Shaheen Jafargholi. Sharing the MOBO stage for the first time ever, the likes of Chipmunk, Tinchy Stryder, Ironik, N-Dubz & JLS will be performing their show-stopping hits to an audience of over 6,000 people. Chipmunk will perform live for the first time in Scotland, his top 10 hit “Diamond Rings” alongside Glasgow’s finest Emeli Sande. Tinchy Stryder will do a medley of his number one singles “Never Leave” with Amelle Berrabah (Sugababes) and “Number One” with north London trio N-Dubz. Britain’s hottest boy-band JLS, will undoubtedly paint the city, red, blue, green and yellow, with a performance of their number one single “Beat Again”. Performing to an estimated billion people at the Michael Jackson Memorial in July, Britain’s Got Talent finalist Shaheen Jafargoli will again pay tribute to the King of Pop at this years MOBO Awards, singing “I’ll Be There”. The 12-year-old Shaheen wowed Britain’s Got Talent audiences, racking up close to 7 million views on Youtube alone. Jermaine Jackson, who will perform “Smile” at this year’s show, commented: "I am delighted to be performing at this year's MOBO Awards. My family and I have been involved in the global pop music business for over half a century, and it is amazing to see influences from our era in modern day black music artists.
